Wilwood Red Superlite Rear Brakes for BMW M3 E46 (2001–2006), SRP Rotors & Included Braided Hoses

This Wilwood Superlite 4R kit is a rear disc upgrade retaining factory parking brakes for BMW M3 E46 2001–2006. Four-piston Superlite 4R calipers and 12.88-inch rotors use parking-brake hats designed around the existing BMW mechanism. Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977, is based in Camarillo, California. The manufacturer supplies disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, including calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines that must work together as a complete system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14752-DR.
• The specified radial caliper is a Superlite 4R. It combines a Red Powder Coat forged aluminum body with 4 pistons per unit; the published piston material is stainless.
• Bores and friction material: 1.25, 1.25 inches, with BP-10 pads supplied for the specified calipers.
• The vented discs have srp drilled & slotted friction surfaces and Spec-37 Iron construction. Nominal dimensions are 1.10 in; 27.94 mm through the braking section and 12.88 in; 327.15 mm at the outside edge.
• Aluminum hats with Black E-Coat finish complete the two-piece rotor assembly.
• Use the specified original or compatible existing hubs. The kit contains no wheel hubs.
• The nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter is 0.610 in; 15.49 mm; the matching wheel mounting pattern(s) are 5 X 4.72 in; 5 X 119.89 mm. These describe different aspects of the attachment.
• When planning the line connection, account for the 1/8-27 NPT caliper inlet.
• The supplied hardware mounts the specified brake package. It does not include replacement spindles, a brake booster or a master cylinder.
• The caliper package calls for at least the published 17 in; 431.8 mm wheel diameter, plus sufficient spoke and inner-barrel clearance.
• Supplied line kit 220-14759 provides the braided brake hoses; the stated length is 20.00 in. Verify both ends and clearance through full travel.
• This is a kit listing; one package contains the brake components described above.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the listed 2001–2006 E46 M3 rear assembly. The original parking brake, OE master-cylinder output and ABS functions are retained for the documented installation. DS-1252 requires dust-shield trimming and bracket-bolt clearance notches; existing parking shoes/cables remain in service. Models covered: M3.
