Wilwood Front AERO6 Brake Kit for BMW E46 M3 (2001–2006), Black Calipers, 14-Inch GT Rotors & Braided Lines

This Wilwood AERO6 kit is a front disc upgrade for 2001–2006 BMW E46 M3. Six-piston AERO6 calipers, 14-inch Spec-37 rotor rings and application-specific aluminum hats retain the verified factory brake-system interfaces. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, Camarillo, California-based Wilwood Engineering manufactures disc brake systems and components. Its motorsport, street-performance and specialized range spans calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, with compatibility assessed across the complete braking system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14751.
• Wheel mounting pattern(s) measure 5 X 4.72 in; 5 X 119.89 mm. The associated nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter is 0.520 in; 13.21 mm.
• Retain the compatible existing wheel hubs, which are not included in this kit.
• The friction discs measure 14.00 in; 355.6 mm across and 1.25 in; 31.75 mm thick; gt slotted surfaces are used on vented Spec-37 Iron rotors.
• The rotor rings attach to separate aluminum hats with a Black E-Coat finish.
• Each caliper carries 6 pistons made from stainless. The AERO6 design uses forged aluminum, radial mounting and a Black Powder Coat finish.
• BP-20 pads are supplied; the listed bore dimensions are 1.62, 1.12, 1.12 inches.
• Connect the brake line to the specified 1/8-27 NPT inlet.
• Start wheel selection at 18 in; 457.2 mm; the barrel and spokes still need checking against the caliper-clearance template.
• Braided hose kit 220-11983 is supplied; the published line length is 18.00 in. Check chassis fittings and full-travel routing.
• This package includes its mounting fasteners. It excludes the spindles, master cylinder and booster.
• Sold as a complete kit for the specified front installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

For the listed 2001–2006 E46 M3, match the original hub, register and factory spindle. DS-1251 requires front dust-shield cutting to clear the larger rotor. This kit does not establish fitment for other E46 models or generations. Models covered: M3.
