Wilwood 14-Inch SRP Front Brake Kit with Red AERO6 Calipers for Grand Marquis, Marauder, Town Car & Crown Victoria

This Wilwood AERO6 kit is a front 14-inch AERO6 upgrade for Crown Victoria/Town Car/Grand Marquis/Marauder. AERO6 calipers use the larger listed piston bores with 14 x 1.25-inch Spec-37 rotors. Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977, is based in Camarillo, California. The manufacturer supplies disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, including calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines that must work together as a complete system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14682-DR.
• The specified radial caliper is an AERO6. It combines a Red Powder Coat forged aluminum body with 6 pistons per unit; the published piston material is stainless.
• When planning the line connection, account for the 1/8-27 NPT caliper inlet.
• Bores and friction material: 1.75, 1.38, 1.38 inches, with BP-10 pads supplied for the specified calipers.
• The vented discs have srp drilled & slotted friction surfaces and Spec-37 Iron construction. Nominal dimensions are 1.25 in; 31.75 mm through the braking section and 14.00 in; 355.6 mm at the outside edge.
• Aluminum hats with Black E-Coat finish complete the two-piece rotor assembly.
• The nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter is 0.580 in; 14.73 mm; the matching wheel mounting pattern(s) are 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm. These describe different aspects of the attachment.
• Use the specified original or compatible existing hubs. The kit contains no wheel hubs.
• The supplied hardware mounts the specified brake package. It does not include replacement spindles, a brake booster or a master cylinder.
• Flexlines are excluded from the brake package. Select the chassis-specific hoses and confirm safe clearance throughout travel. Separate reference: 220-14690.
• The caliper package calls for at least the published 18 in; 457.2 mm wheel diameter, plus sufficient spoke and inner-barrel clearance.
• This is a kit listing; one package contains the brake components described above.

Fitment & Compatibility

For the listed 2003–2011 Crown Victoria, Lincoln Town Car and Mercury Grand Marquis, or 2003–2004 Marauder, verify the exact option/wheelbase row. DS-1242 calls out separate hose 220-14690 only for Crown Victoria. Confirm the correct lines for other models and check all wheel/spindle interfaces before purchase.
