Wilwood Black AERO6 Front Conversion for Town Car, Marauder, Grand Marquis & Crown Victoria, Slotted 14-Inch GT Rotors

This Wilwood AERO6 kit is a front 14-inch AERO6 upgrade for Crown Victoria/Town Car/Grand Marquis/Marauder. AERO6 calipers use the larger listed piston bores with 14 x 1.25-inch Spec-37 rotors. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977. Based in Camarillo, California, the company designs and manufactures complete disc brake systems and individual calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized installations.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14682.
• Caliper bodies are forged aluminum, with Black Powder Coat treatment. This is the radial-mounted AERO6 version, using 6 stainless pistons per caliper.
• Fluid enters through a 1/8-27 NPT caliper port; match the adapter accordingly.
• This configuration uses BP-10 brake pads with caliper bores listed as 1.75, 1.38, 1.38 inches.
• Across the rotor face the measurement is 14.00 in; 355.6 mm; the braking section is 1.25 in; 31.75 mm thick. Both discs use the specified vented Spec-37 Iron design and gt slotted finish.
• The supplied aluminum hats are separate from the friction rings and carry a Black E-Coat finish.
• For this kit the published wheel mounting pattern(s) are 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm. Check the specified 0.580 in; 14.73 mm nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter.
• Wheel hubs are separate from this kit and must match the documented existing assembly.
• Mounting hardware accompanies the brake components; the vehicle's spindle, master cylinder and booster are separate items.
• A suitable separately purchased line set is required, with compatible fittings and routing. Brake hoses are not supplied. Separate reference: 220-14690.
• The stated wheel requirement is 18 in; 457.2 mm. Nominal diameter alone does not establish clearance around the caliper and rotor.
• The components are sold together as one kit for the stated installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

For the listed 2003–2011 Crown Victoria, Lincoln Town Car and Mercury Grand Marquis, or 2003–2004 Marauder, verify the exact option/wheelbase row. DS-1242 calls out separate hose 220-14690 only for Crown Victoria. Confirm the correct lines for other models and check all wheel/spindle interfaces before purchase.
