Wilwood Black Superlite Front Brake Kit for Crown Victoria, Town Car, Grand Marquis & Marauder with 14-Inch GT Rotors

This Wilwood Superlite 6R kit is a front 14-inch Superlite disc upgrade for Ford Panther Platform: Crown Victoria, Town Car, Grand Marquis and Marauder. The 14-inch rotor package keeps a narrow six-piston caliper design and requires an 18-inch nominal wheel before profile checks. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, Camarillo, California-based Wilwood Engineering manufactures disc brake systems and components. Its motorsport, street-performance and specialized range spans calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, with compatibility assessed across the complete braking system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14681.
• The friction discs measure 14.00 in; 355.6 mm across and 1.25 in; 31.75 mm thick; gt slotted surfaces are used on vented Spec-37 Iron rotors.
• Each caliper carries 6 pistons made from stainless. The Superlite 6R design uses forged aluminum, radial mounting and a Black Powder Coat finish.
• BP-10 pads are supplied; the listed bore dimensions are 1.75, 1.25, 1.25 inches.
• Connect the brake line to the specified 1/8-27 NPT inlet.
• Wheel mounting pattern(s) measure 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm. The associated nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter is 0.580 in; 14.73 mm.
• The rotor rings attach to separate aluminum hats with a Black E-Coat finish.
• Retain the compatible existing wheel hubs, which are not included in this kit.
• Start wheel selection at 18 in; 457.2 mm; the barrel and spokes still need checking against the caliper-clearance template.
• This package includes its mounting fasteners. It excludes the spindles, master cylinder and booster.
• Order suitable flexlines separately; none are included. Match the chassis fittings and allow full steering/suspension travel. Separate reference: 220-14690.
• Sold as a complete kit for the specified front installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

The exact listed applications cover 2003–2011 Crown Victoria, Town Car and Grand Marquis and 2003–2004 Marauder. Match wheelbase and factory spindle. DS-1241 limits the named 220-14690 hose reference to Crown Victoria; other cars need individually confirmed hoses. Reposition Crown Victoria hardlines carefully as instructed.
