Wilwood 12.88-Inch Drilled Front Brake Conversion with Black Superlite Calipers for Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Marauder & Town Car

This Wilwood Superlite 6R kit is a front 12.88-inch disc upgrade for Crown Victoria, Town Car, Grand Marquis and Marauder. The 12.88 x 1.25-inch rotors mount on separate aluminum hats and work with six-piston Superlite calipers. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977. Based in Camarillo, California, the company designs and manufactures complete disc brake systems and individual calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized installations.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14680-D.
• Match the Superlite 6R caliper architecture when selecting related components: radial attachment, 6 stainless pistons, forged aluminum body and Black Powder Coat finish.
• Pad selection is BP-10; piston-bore measurements are 1.75, 1.25, 1.25 inches. Confirm those values for any system changes.
• For rotor replacement, match all four specifications: 12.88 in; 327.15 mm outside diameter, 1.25 in; 31.75 mm thickness, Spec-37 Iron and the srp drilled & slotted surface. Rotor construction: vented.
• For the rotor-to-hub interface, the kit supplies separate aluminum hats finished in Black E-Coat.
• The kit does not supply replacement hubs; confirm the dimensions of those already installed.
• Attachment dimensions to confirm are 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm for the wheel mounting pattern(s) and 0.580 in; 14.73 mm for the nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter.
• Use a compatible hose adapter for the caliper's 1/8-27 NPT inlet.
• Included installation parts cover the kit mounting hardware, with spindles, brake booster and master cylinder excluded.
• Before ordering wheels, check the full inside profile against the drawing and the published 17 in; 431.8 mm minimum diameter.
• Plan the hydraulic connection separately: this kit has no hoses. Check line length and end fittings against the vehicle. Separate reference: 220-14690.
• One brake kit is supplied for the specified application and axle position.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use 2003–2011 Crown Victoria, Town Car and Grand Marquis plus 2003–2004 Marauder as listed. Respect the wheelbase-specific rows. DS-1240 identifies hose 220-14690 for Crown Victoria only; for the other models confirm suitable separate hose length, fittings and routing. Crown Victoria hardlines need repositioning to meet the new fittings. Models covered: Crown Victoria, Town Car, Grand Marquis and Marauder.
