Wilwood Black Six-Piston Front Brake Conversion for 1968–1972 Ford F-100 2WD Drum Spindles, 11.75-Inch Rotors

This Wilwood Dynapro 6 kit is a front Classic Series disc conversion for 1968–1972 Ford F-100 2WD Drum Spindles. Six-piston Dynapro calipers are supplied with plain 11.75 x 1.10-inch integral rotor/hub castings. The kit belongs to Wilwood Engineering's range of disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California, and produces calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for complete brake-system planning.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14614.
• Wheel mounting pattern(s) measure 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 5.5 in; 5 x 139.7 mm. The associated listed stud diameter is 0.50 in; 12.70 mm.
• An integral iron rotor/hub replaces the drum assembly. The package does not contain an additional separate aluminum hub.
• The friction discs measure 11.75 in; 298.45 mm across and 1.10 in; 27.94 mm thick; plain face surfaces are used on vented Iron rotors.
• Each caliper carries 6 pistons made from stainless. The Dynapro 6 design uses forged aluminum, lug mounting and a Black Powder Coat finish.
• BP-10 pads are supplied; the listed bore dimensions are 1.62, 1.38, 1.38 inches.
• Connect the brake line to the specified 1/8-27 NPT inlet.
• Start wheel selection at 15 in; 381 mm; the barrel and spokes still need checking against the caliper-clearance template.
• Order suitable flexlines separately; none are included. Match the chassis fittings and allow full steering/suspension travel. Separate reference: 220-11237.
• This package includes its mounting fasteners. It excludes the spindles, master cylinder and booster.
• Sold as a complete kit for the specified front installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

This is the listed 1968–1972 F-100 4 x 2 factory drum-spindle application. Follow DS-1245 for the year-specific bearings, seals and locknut parts. The dual 5 x 4.50/5 x 5.50-inch pattern requires compatible wheels; earlier F-100 spindles use a different kit. Models covered: F-100.
