Wilwood Red AERO6 Front Conversion, 14-Inch Drilled/Slotted Discs for Audi A4/A5/S4/S5 Applications

This Wilwood AERO6 kit is a front 14-inch disc upgrade for Audi A4, A5, S4 and S5. AERO6 six-piston calipers act on 14 x 1.25-inch rotors, with application-specific hats and braided lines. Founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering develops disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Its calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines must be selected as parts of a complete, matched braking system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14584-DR.
• Caliper bodies are forged aluminum, with Red Powder Coat treatment. This is the radial-mounted AERO6 version, using 6 stainless pistons per caliper.
• This configuration uses BP-10 brake pads with caliper bores listed as 1.62, 1.12, 1.12 inches.
• Across the rotor face the measurement is 14.00 in; 355.6 mm; the braking section is 1.25 in; 31.75 mm thick. Both discs use the specified vented Spec-37 Iron design and srp drilled & slotted finish.
• The supplied aluminum hats are separate from the friction rings and carry a Black E-Coat finish.
• Wheel hubs are separate from this kit and must match the documented existing assembly.
• For this kit the published wheel mounting pattern(s) are 5 x 4.41 in; 5 x 112.01 mm. Check the specified 0.590 in; 14.99 mm nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter.
• Fluid enters through a 1/8-27 NPT caliper port; match the adapter accordingly.
• Mounting hardware accompanies the brake components; the vehicle's spindle, master cylinder and booster are separate items.
• The stated wheel requirement is 18 in; 457.2 mm. Nominal diameter alone does not establish clearance around the caliper and rotor.
• Brake hoses are included: 220-14598, 20.00 in. Confirm adequate travel and the correct chassis-side fittings during assembly.
• The components are sold together as one kit for the stated installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

The applications include 2009 A4 Sedan/Wagon, 2010–2012 A4/S4, 2009–2012 S5 and 2010–2012 A5 Cabriolet. Verify the exact body/year entry. DS-1233 requires the chassis hose bracket to be flattened/opened to 0.625 inch and the upright grommet bracket adjusted for the new line. Models covered: A4, S5, A5 and S4.
