Wilwood Toyota/Lexus 14-Inch Slotted Front Kit, Red Superlite Calipers, Six-Lug Hats and Braided Lines

This Wilwood Superlite 6R kit is a front 14-inch brake upgrade for Toyota Tacoma/4Runner/FJ Cruiser and Lexus GX. The larger 14-inch Spec-37 rotors retain the application-specific six-lug hats and supplied braided lines. The kit belongs to Wilwood Engineering's range of disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California, and produces calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for complete brake-system planning.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14578-R.
• Match 6 X 5.5 in; 6 X 139.7 mm at the wheel mounting pattern(s) interface, with 0.520 in; 13.21 mm as the nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter.
• The package excludes wheel hubs. Check the retained hubs against the specified mounting interface.
• Spec-37 Iron forms the vented rotors. Each disc has a gt slotted face, an outside diameter of 14.00 in; 355.6 mm and thickness of 1.10 in; 27.94 mm.
• Black E-Coat treatment covers the separate aluminum rotor hats.
• Red Powder Coat Superlite 6R calipers are supplied. Their forged aluminum bodies use the radial mounting arrangement with 6 stainless pistons in each caliper.
• Piston sizes listed by Wilwood are 1.75, 1.25, 1.25 inches, with BP-10 friction material in this kit.
• Hydraulic fitting interface on each caliper: 1/8-27 NPT.
• Published wheel minimum is 18 in; 457.2 mm, subject to the required inside-profile check. Rotor diameter is a separate measurement.
• The kit includes 220-14618 braided hydraulic lines, listed at 20.00 in. Verify the chassis connection on the actual application.
• Application-specific mounting hardware is supplied. Provide or retain the correct spindle, master cylinder and brake booster separately.
• Package quantity is one application-specific brake kit.

Fitment & Compatibility

For the listed six-lug Tacoma 4 x 2/4 x 4 trims, 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, GX470 and GX460, verify the exact year and submodel rather than assuming all Toyota trucks share the hub. Dust-shield cutting is required by DS-1232; inspect full steering and suspension clearance. Models covered: GX470, 4Runner, Tacoma, FJ Cruiser and GX460.
