Wilwood 15.50-Inch Rear Brake Kit for Super Duty 4WD Single-Rear-Wheel Trucks, Anodized TX6R Calipers

This Wilwood TX6R kit is a rear heavy-duty disc upgrade retaining OE parking brakes for Ford Super Duty F-250/F-350 4WD with Single Rear Wheels. The rear package uses 15.50-inch GTB iron rotor/hat castings and six-piston TX6R calipers, with braided hoses included. Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977, is based in Camarillo, California. The manufacturer supplies disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, including calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines that must work together as a complete system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14559-C.
• The friction discs measure 15.50 in; 393.7 mm across and 1.38 in; 35.05 mm thick; gt slotted surfaces are used on vented Iron rotors.
• Each caliper carries 6 pistons made from stainless. The TX6R design uses forged aluminum, radial mounting and a Type III Anodize finish.
• BP-22 pads are supplied; the listed bore dimensions are 1.62, 1.38, 1.38 inches.
• Connect the brake line to the specified 1/8-27 NPT inlet.
• Wheel mounting pattern(s) measure 8 x 6.69 in; 8 x 169.93 mm. The associated listed stud diameter is 0.64 in; 16.26 mm.
• The iron rotor and parking-brake hat are a single casting. No separate aluminum hat or wheel hub is supplied; retain the verified OE hub and parking hardware.
• Start wheel selection at 20 in; 508 mm; the barrel and spokes still need checking against the caliper-clearance template.
• This package includes its mounting fasteners. It excludes the spindles, master cylinder and booster.
• Braided hose kit 220-14166 is supplied; the published line length is 14.00 in. Check chassis fittings and full-travel routing.
• Sold as a complete kit for the specified rear installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the exact listed 2013–2022 F-250/F-350 four-wheel-drive single-rear-wheel applications. The integral rotor parking drum works with the existing OE parking-brake mechanism. DS-1239 requires rear backing-plate/dust-shield cutting for the new bracket; retain and adjust the existing parking hardware. Models covered: F-250 Super Duty and F-350 Super Duty.
