Wilwood Red Six-Piston TX6R Front Brake Package for F-250 and F-350 4WD SRW, 15-Inch Rotors

This Wilwood TX6R kit is a front heavy-duty disc upgrade for Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty 4WD SRW. TX6R six-piston calipers work with 15 x 1.50-inch Spec-37 rotors and separate eight-lug hats. Wilwood Engineering began in 1977 with founder Bill Wood and is based in Camarillo, California. It designs disc brake systems and components for racing, performance-road and specialized use, from calipers and rotors to master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines; the complete system determines component selection.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14558-R.
• The specified radial caliper is a TX6R. It combines a Red Powder Coat forged aluminum body with 6 pistons per unit; the published piston material is stainless.
• Bores and friction material: 2.00, 1.88, 1.88 inches, with BP-22 pads supplied for the specified calipers.
• The vented discs have gt slotted friction surfaces and Spec-37 Iron construction. Nominal dimensions are 1.50 in; 38.1 mm through the braking section and 15.00 in; 381 mm at the outside edge.
• Aluminum hats with Black E-Coat finish complete the two-piece rotor assembly.
• Use the specified original or compatible existing hubs. The kit contains no wheel hubs.
• The nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter is 0.640 in; 16.26 mm; the matching wheel mounting pattern(s) are 8 x 6.692 in; 8 x 169.98 mm. These describe different aspects of the attachment.
• When planning the line connection, account for the 1/8-27 NPT caliper inlet.
• The supplied hardware mounts the specified brake package. It does not include replacement spindles, a brake booster or a master cylinder.
• The caliper package calls for at least the published 20 in; 508 mm wheel diameter, plus sufficient spoke and inner-barrel clearance.
• Supplied line kit 220-14112 provides the braided brake hoses; the stated length is 30.00 in. Verify both ends and clearance through full travel.
• This is a kit listing; one package contains the brake components described above.

Fitment & Compatibility

For the listed 2013–2022 Super Duty four-wheel-drive trucks, DS-1238 specifies single rear wheels. Confirm the factory hub/register and eight-lug pattern; dual-rear-wheel and two-wheel-drive fitment is not established. The front dust shield may need trimming.
