Wilwood Black TX6R 15-Inch Front Brakes for Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty 4WD Single-Rear-Wheel Trucks

This Wilwood TX6R kit is a front heavy-duty disc upgrade for Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty 4WD SRW. TX6R six-piston calipers work with 15 x 1.50-inch Spec-37 rotors and separate eight-lug hats. Wilwood Engineering designs complete disc brake systems as well as calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Established by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, it serves motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications; individual parts require a matched system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14558.
• Caliper bodies are forged aluminum, with Black Powder Coat treatment. This is the radial-mounted TX6R version, using 6 stainless pistons per caliper.
• This configuration uses BP-22 brake pads with caliper bores listed as 2.00, 1.88, 1.88 inches.
• Across the rotor face the measurement is 15.00 in; 381 mm; the braking section is 1.50 in; 38.1 mm thick. Both discs use the specified vented Spec-37 Iron design and gt slotted finish.
• The supplied aluminum hats are separate from the friction rings and carry a Black E-Coat finish.
• Wheel hubs are separate from this kit and must match the documented existing assembly.
• For this kit the published wheel mounting pattern(s) are 8 x 6.692 in; 8 x 169.98 mm. Check the specified 0.640 in; 16.26 mm nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter.
• Fluid enters through a 1/8-27 NPT caliper port; match the adapter accordingly.
• Mounting hardware accompanies the brake components; the vehicle's spindle, master cylinder and booster are separate items.
• The stated wheel requirement is 20 in; 508 mm. Nominal diameter alone does not establish clearance around the caliper and rotor.
• Brake hoses are included: 220-14112, 30.00 in. Confirm adequate travel and the correct chassis-side fittings during assembly.
• The components are sold together as one kit for the stated installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

For the listed 2013–2022 Super Duty four-wheel-drive trucks, DS-1238 specifies single rear wheels. Confirm the factory hub/register and eight-lug pattern; dual-rear-wheel and two-wheel-drive fitment is not established. The front dust shield may need trimming.
