This Wilwood Dynalite kit is a front ProSpindle disc conversion for Wilwood ProSpindle with 5 x 5.00-Inch Wheels. The four-piston calipers are supplied with 12.19-inch rotors and five-lug aluminum hubs for a specific aftermarket spindle interface. Wilwood Engineering began in 1977 with founder Bill Wood and is based in Camarillo, California. It designs disc brake systems and components for racing, performance-road and specialized use, from calipers and rotors to master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines; the complete system determines component selection.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 140-14532-R.
  • The specified lug caliper is a Dynalite. It combines a Red Powder Coat forged aluminum body with 4 pistons per unit; the published piston material is stainless.
  • When planning the line connection, account for the 1/8-27 NPT caliper inlet.
  • Bores and friction material: 1.75, 1.75 inches, with BP-10 pads supplied for the specified calipers.
  • The vented discs have plain face friction surfaces and Iron construction. Nominal dimensions are 0.81 in; 20.57 mm through the braking section and 12.19 in; 309.63 mm at the outside edge.
  • The wheel-stud thread is 1/2-20; the matching wheel mounting pattern(s) are 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm. These describe different aspects of the attachment.
  • Included wheel hubs use aluminum construction and the listed threaded-stud arrangement. They are separate from the friction discs.
  • The supplied hardware mounts the specified brake package. It does not include replacement spindles, a brake booster or a master cylinder.
  • Flexlines are excluded from the brake package. Select the chassis-specific hoses and confirm safe clearance throughout travel.
  • The caliper package calls for at least the published 15 in; 381 mm wheel diameter, plus sufficient spoke and inner-barrel clearance.
  • This is a kit listing; one package contains the brake components described above.

Fitment & Compatibility

For separately purchased Wilwood ProSpindle 830-10832 standard-height or 830-9807 two-inch-drop assemblies, use the corresponding DS-1223 procedure. The hub pattern is 5 x 5.00 inches. Stamped-steel wheels need hub shield 300-10716; neither ProSpindle assembly is supplied.
