Wilwood Pinto, Bobcat and Mustang II Front Brakes, Red Dynapro 6 Calipers, Plain Discs and 5x5.00-Inch Hubs

This Wilwood Dynapro 6 kit is a front five-lug disc conversion for Pinto, Bobcat and Mustang II Factory Disc Spindles. Six stainless pistons per Dynapro caliper act on 12.19-inch rotors; the supplied hubs have a 5 x 5.00-inch wheel pattern. The kit belongs to Wilwood Engineering's range of disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California, and produces calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for complete brake-system planning.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14531-R.
• Friction surface and size: plain face; 12.19 in; 309.63 mm diameter x 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thickness. The rotor material is Iron in a vented design.
• The calipers are Dynapro 6 units with a Red Powder Coat exterior. A forged aluminum body locates 6 stainless pistons; attachment is lug mount.
• The matched pads use BP-10. Manufacturer bore figures for the caliper are 1.62, 1.38, 1.38 inches.
• The caliper accepts the listed 1/8-27 NPT hydraulic connection.
• 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm is the listed wheel mounting pattern(s) dimension. Wheel-stud thread: 1/2-20.
• Aluminum hubs are provided separately from the rotor components, with the specified wheel patterns and studs.
• Wheel minimum: 15 in; 381 mm. Confirm the complete wheel shape and mounting hardware clear the brake drawing.
• No spindle, booster or master cylinder is included; the kit does contain mounting hardware for the stated installation.
• Brake lines are a separate purchase. Verify end fittings, safe routing and the length needed for this application. Separate reference: 220-8307.
• This listing supplies one kit for the documented brake configuration.

Fitment & Compatibility

Applications cover 1974–1980 Pinto, 1975–1980 Bobcat and 1974–1978 Mustang II original disc spindles. Confirm that interface and 5 x 5.00-inch wheels before ordering. Use hub shield 300-10716 with stamped-steel wheels. A separate master-cylinder conversion may need pushrod modification. Models covered: Mustang II, Pinto and Bobcat. Use the complete application table at the bottom for the precise year, submodel, brake option and note attached to each row.

Kit fits 74-80 Pinto / Mustang II original disc brake spindles only.

Kit may fit some 15" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.

Separate universal hose choices are 220-7056 (14-inch), 220-7699 (16-inch) or 220-8307 (18-inch). Select the correct length and end fittings; these are alternatives, not three required kits.

Master Cylinder may require modification to existing pushrod assembly to install.

If a separate rear parking-brake conversion is also planned, a universal parking cable may need cable or vehicle changes; it is not part of this front kit.
