Wilwood Mustang II/Pinto/Bobcat Six-Piston Front Conversion, Black Dynapro Calipers, 12.19-Inch Drilled Rotors, 5x5 Pattern

This Wilwood Dynapro 6 kit is a front five-lug disc conversion for Pinto, Bobcat and Mustang II Factory Disc Spindles. Six stainless pistons per Dynapro caliper act on 12.19-inch rotors; the supplied hubs have a 5 x 5.00-inch wheel pattern. From its Camarillo, California base, Wilwood Engineering designs disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized needs. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, its range covers calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines chosen to work within a complete brake system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14531-D.
• The friction discs measure 12.19 in; 309.63 mm across and 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thick; srp drilled & slotted surfaces are used on vented Iron rotors.
• Each caliper carries 6 pistons made from stainless. The Dynapro 6 design uses forged aluminum, lug mounting and a Black Powder Coat finish.
• BP-10 pads are supplied; the listed bore dimensions are 1.62, 1.38, 1.38 inches.
• Connect the brake line to the specified 1/8-27 NPT inlet.
• Wheel mounting pattern(s) measure 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm. The associated wheel-stud thread is 1/2-20.
• Supplied aluminum hubs provide the wheel mounting; verify the patterns and stud threads stated above.
• Start wheel selection at 15 in; 381 mm; the barrel and spokes still need checking against the caliper-clearance template.
• This package includes its mounting fasteners. It excludes the spindles, master cylinder and booster.
• Order suitable flexlines separately; none are included. Match the chassis fittings and allow full steering/suspension travel. Separate reference: 220-8307.
• Sold as a complete kit for the specified front installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

Applications cover 1974–1980 Pinto, 1975–1980 Bobcat and 1974–1978 Mustang II original disc spindles. Confirm that interface and 5 x 5.00-inch wheels before ordering. Use hub shield 300-10716 with stamped-steel wheels. A separate master-cylinder conversion may need pushrod modification. Models covered: Mustang II, Pinto and Bobcat. Use the complete application table at the bottom for the precise year, submodel, brake option and note attached to each row.

Kit fits 74-80 Pinto / Mustang II original disc brake spindles only.

Kit may fit some 15" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.

Separate universal hose choices are 220-7056 (14-inch), 220-7699 (16-inch) or 220-8307 (18-inch). Select the correct length and end fittings; these are alternatives, not three required kits.

Master Cylinder may require modification to existing pushrod assembly to install.

If a separate rear parking-brake conversion is also planned, a universal parking cable may need cable or vehicle changes; it is not part of this front kit.
