Wilwood Red Dynalite Front Disc Brakes for Factory Mustang II/Pinto/Bobcat Spindles, 12.19-Inch SRP Rotors and 5x5 Hubs

This Wilwood Dynalite kit is a front conversion with 5 x 5.00-inch hubs for Mustang II, Pinto and Bobcat Disc Spindles. Four-piston Dynalite Internal calipers and 12.19-inch rotors combine with aluminum hubs drilled for 5 x 5.00-inch wheels. Wilwood Engineering designs complete disc brake systems as well as calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Established by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, it serves motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications; individual parts require a matched system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14530-DR.
• Match the Dynalite caliper architecture when selecting related components: lug attachment, 4 stainless pistons, forged aluminum body and Red Powder Coat finish.
• Pad selection is BP-10; piston-bore measurements are 1.75, 1.75 inches. Confirm those values for any system changes.
• For rotor replacement, match all four specifications: 12.19 in; 309.63 mm outside diameter, 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thickness, Iron and the srp drilled & slotted surface. Rotor construction: vented.
• Wheel mounting is through the included aluminum hubs; check their exact lug circles and stud threads before selecting wheels.
• Attachment dimensions to confirm are 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm for the wheel mounting pattern(s) and 1/2-20 for the wheel-stud thread.
• Use a compatible hose adapter for the caliper's 1/8-27 NPT inlet.
• Included installation parts cover the kit mounting hardware, with spindles, brake booster and master cylinder excluded.
• Before ordering wheels, check the full inside profile against the drawing and the published 15 in; 381 mm minimum diameter.
• Plan the hydraulic connection separately: this kit has no hoses. Check line length and end fittings against the vehicle. Separate reference: 220-8307.
• One brake kit is supplied for the specified application and axle position.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the listed 1974–1978 Mustang II, 1974–1980 Pinto and 1975–1980 Bobcat original disc spindles. The supplied 5 x 5.00-inch lug pattern must match the wheels; it is not the original four-lug pattern. Stamped-steel wheels require separately ordered hub shield 300-10716. Master-cylinder pushrod changes may be required for a separately planned master conversion. Models covered: Mustang II, Pinto and Bobcat. Kit fits 74-80 Pinto / Mustang II original disc brake spindles only.

Kit may fit some 15" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.

Separate universal hose choices are 220-7056 (14-inch), 220-7699 (16-inch) or 220-8307 (18-inch). Select the correct length and end fittings; these are alternatives, not three required kits.

Master Cylinder may require modification to existing pushrod assembly to install.

If a separate rear parking-brake conversion is also planned, a universal parking cable may need cable or vehicle changes; it is not part of this front kit.
