Wilwood 5x5.00-Inch Hub Front Conversion for Pinto, Bobcat and Mustang II, Black Dynalite Calipers with SRP Rotors

This Wilwood Dynalite kit is a front conversion with 5 x 5.00-inch hubs for Mustang II, Pinto and Bobcat Disc Spindles. Four-piston Dynalite Internal calipers and 12.19-inch rotors combine with aluminum hubs drilled for 5 x 5.00-inch wheels. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, Camarillo, California-based Wilwood Engineering manufactures disc brake systems and components. Its motorsport, street-performance and specialized range spans calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, with compatibility assessed across the complete braking system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14530-D.
• Caliper bodies are forged aluminum, with Black Powder Coat treatment. This is the lug-mounted Dynalite version, using 4 stainless pistons per caliper.
• This configuration uses BP-10 brake pads with caliper bores listed as 1.75, 1.75 inches.
• Across the rotor face the measurement is 12.19 in; 309.63 mm; the braking section is 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thick. Both discs use the specified vented Iron design and srp drilled & slotted finish.
• The package supplies separate aluminum hubs, rather than relying on the original hubs. Use the listed wheel patterns and thread specifications.
• For this kit the published wheel mounting pattern(s) are 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm. Check the specified 1/2-20 wheel-stud thread.
• Fluid enters through a 1/8-27 NPT caliper port; match the adapter accordingly.
• Mounting hardware accompanies the brake components; the vehicle's spindle, master cylinder and booster are separate items.
• The stated wheel requirement is 15 in; 381 mm. Nominal diameter alone does not establish clearance around the caliper and rotor.
• A suitable separately purchased line set is required, with compatible fittings and routing. Brake hoses are not supplied. Separate reference: 220-8307.
• The components are sold together as one kit for the stated installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the listed 1974–1978 Mustang II, 1974–1980 Pinto and 1975–1980 Bobcat original disc spindles. The supplied 5 x 5.00-inch lug pattern must match the wheels; it is not the original four-lug pattern. Stamped-steel wheels require separately ordered hub shield 300-10716. Master-cylinder pushrod changes may be required for a separately planned master conversion. Models covered: Mustang II, Pinto and Bobcat. Kit fits 74-80 Pinto / Mustang II original disc brake spindles only.

Kit may fit some 15" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.

Separate universal hose choices are 220-7056 (14-inch), 220-7699 (16-inch) or 220-8307 (18-inch). Select the correct length and end fittings; these are alternatives, not three required kits.

Master Cylinder may require modification to existing pushrod assembly to install.

If a separate rear parking-brake conversion is also planned, a universal parking cable may need cable or vehicle changes; it is not part of this front kit.
