Wilwood Dynalite Front Brake Kit for Mustang II, Pinto and Bobcat Disc Spindles, Black Calipers, Plain 12.19-Inch Rotors, 5x5 Hubs

This Wilwood Dynalite kit is a front conversion with 5 x 5.00-inch hubs for Mustang II, Pinto and Bobcat Disc Spindles. Four-piston Dynalite Internal calipers and 12.19-inch rotors combine with aluminum hubs drilled for 5 x 5.00-inch wheels. The kit belongs to Wilwood Engineering's range of disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California, and produces calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for complete brake-system planning.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14530.
• At each caliper, the Dynalite configuration provides 4 pistons in stainless, housed in forged aluminum. The caliper attaches by lug mounting and is finished in Black Powder Coat.
• For hydraulic matching, use the published 1.75, 1.75-inch piston bores. Pads are the BP-10 compound.
• This version supplies plain face rotors in Iron. Their 12.19 in; 309.63 mm diameter and 0.81 in; 20.57 mm section are matched to the listed vented brake package.
• This hub kit includes aluminum wheel hubs. Their wheel-bolt layout and stud threads must match the chosen wheels.
• The mounting interface uses 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm; verify the wheel-stud thread of 1/2-20 separately from the bolt circle.
• Inlet-port specification for hose/fitting selection is 1/8-27 NPT.
• The listed brackets and fasteners belong to the kit. Spindles and the master-cylinder/booster assembly are outside the package.
• Wheel clearance must be measured using the installation template; the manufacturer lists 15 in; 381 mm as the nominal minimum.
• No hydraulic flexlines accompany the kit; supply the correct hoses and fittings for the documented caliper/chassis interface. Separate reference: 220-8307.
• Order quantity refers to one brake conversion kit, not an individual loose rotor or caliper.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the listed 1974–1978 Mustang II, 1974–1980 Pinto and 1975–1980 Bobcat original disc spindles. The supplied 5 x 5.00-inch lug pattern must match the wheels; it is not the original four-lug pattern. Stamped-steel wheels require separately ordered hub shield 300-10716. Master-cylinder pushrod changes may be required for a separately planned master conversion. Models covered: Mustang II, Pinto and Bobcat. Kit fits 74-80 Pinto / Mustang II original disc brake spindles only.

Kit may fit some 15" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.

Separate universal hose choices are 220-7056 (14-inch), 220-7699 (16-inch) or 220-8307 (18-inch). Select the correct length and end fittings; these are alternatives, not three required kits.

Master Cylinder may require modification to existing pushrod assembly to install.

If a separate rear parking-brake conversion is also planned, a universal parking cable may need cable or vehicle changes; it is not part of this front kit.
