This Wilwood Dynapro kit is a front asphalt-sprint racing kit for Asphalt Sprint Cars. Dust-seal radial Dynapro calipers use Thermlock pistons and BP-40 pads with 11.75-inch vented GT rotors. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977. Based in Camarillo, California, the company designs and manufactures complete disc brake systems and individual calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized installations.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 140-14495.
  • Retain the compatible existing wheel hubs, which are not included in this kit.
  • The friction discs measure 11.75 in; 298.45 mm across and 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thick; gt slotted surfaces are used on vented Spec-37 Iron rotors.
  • Each caliper carries 4 pistons made from Thermlock. The Dynapro design uses forged aluminum, radial mounting and a Type III Anodize finish.
  • BP-40 pads are supplied; the listed bore dimensions are 1.75, 1.75 inches.
  • Connect the brake line to the specified 1/8-27 NPT inlet.
  • Start wheel selection at 15 in; 381 mm; the barrel and spokes still need checking against the caliper-clearance template.
  • Order suitable flexlines separately; none are included. Match the chassis fittings and allow full steering/suspension travel.
  • This package includes its mounting fasteners. It excludes the spindles, master cylinder and booster.
  • Sold as a complete kit for the specified front installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the asphalt-sprint front upright, existing hubs and bolt-on rotor adapters to DS-1347. Customer-supplied attachment hardware is required. The instructions require three spacer nuts to be shortened to 0.93-inch length to position the rotor correctly; this is a race-system assembly, not a road-car direct-fit kit.
