Wilwood Audi A4, S4, RS4 and S5 Front GT Brakes, Red Superlite Calipers, 12.88-Inch Rotor Package

This Wilwood Superlite 6R kit is a front disc upgrade for Audi A4, S4, RS4 and S5. The 12.88-inch rotor package uses narrow six-piston calipers, separate aluminum hats and included braided front hoses. Wilwood Engineering began in 1977 with founder Bill Wood and is based in Camarillo, California. It designs disc brake systems and components for racing, performance-road and specialized use, from calipers and rotors to master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines; the complete system determines component selection.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14487-R.
• Wheel mounting pattern(s): 5 x 4.41 in; 5 x 112.01 mm; nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter: 0.590 in; 14.99 mm.
• No wheel hubs are supplied; use the documented existing hub arrangement.
• Rotor outside diameter: 12.88 in; 327.15 mm; thickness: 1.10 in; 27.94 mm. Construction is vented Spec-37 Iron, with gt slotted faces.
• Separate rotor hats: aluminum, finished in Black E-Coat.
• Caliper specification: Superlite 6R; 6 stainless pistons per caliper, forged aluminum body and radial mounting. Finish: Red Powder Coat.
• Published piston bores: 1.75, 1.25, 1.25 inches. Supplied pad compound: BP-10.
• Caliper hydraulic inlet: 1/8-27 NPT.
• Minimum nominal wheel diameter: 17 in; 431.8 mm. The actual inner profile must pass the kit clearance drawing.
• Included braided flexlines: kit 220-14598, with 20.00 in hose length. Confirm fitting compatibility and routing.
• Mounting hardware is included; spindles, master cylinder and brake booster are not supplied.
• Quantity: one brake kit for the stated axle/application.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the exact Audi year/body/VIN rows: 2002 A4/S4 require VIN E in the eighth position; 2009 A4/S4 coverage is Cabriolet. The listed 2008 S5 row is corroborated by Wilwood's AU 01 application page. The hose chassis bracket must be opened to 0.625-inch diameter as DS-1220 describes. Models covered: A4, S4, RS4 and S5.
