Wilwood Black Superlite Front Brake Kit, 12.88-Inch GT Rotors for Audi A4, S4, RS4 and S5

This Wilwood Superlite 6R kit is a front disc upgrade for Audi A4, S4, RS4 and S5. The 12.88-inch rotor package uses narrow six-piston calipers, separate aluminum hats and included braided front hoses. Founded in 1977 by Bill Wood, Camarillo, California-based Wilwood Engineering manufactures disc brake systems and components. Its motorsport, street-performance and specialized range spans calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, with compatibility assessed across the complete braking system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14487.
• Caliper bodies are forged aluminum, with Black Powder Coat treatment. This is the radial-mounted Superlite 6R version, using 6 stainless pistons per caliper.
• Fluid enters through a 1/8-27 NPT caliper port; match the adapter accordingly.
• This configuration uses BP-10 brake pads with caliper bores listed as 1.75, 1.25, 1.25 inches.
• Across the rotor face the measurement is 12.88 in; 327.15 mm; the braking section is 1.10 in; 27.94 mm thick. Both discs use the specified vented Spec-37 Iron design and gt slotted finish.
• The supplied aluminum hats are separate from the friction rings and carry a Black E-Coat finish.
• For this kit the published wheel mounting pattern(s) are 5 x 4.41 in; 5 x 112.01 mm. Check the specified 0.590 in; 14.99 mm nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter.
• Wheel hubs are separate from this kit and must match the documented existing assembly.
• Mounting hardware accompanies the brake components; the vehicle's spindle, master cylinder and booster are separate items.
• Brake hoses are included: 220-14598, 20.00 in. Confirm adequate travel and the correct chassis-side fittings during assembly.
• The stated wheel requirement is 17 in; 431.8 mm. Nominal diameter alone does not establish clearance around the caliper and rotor.
• The components are sold together as one kit for the stated installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the exact Audi year/body/VIN rows: 2002 A4/S4 require VIN E in the eighth position; 2009 A4/S4 coverage is Cabriolet. The listed 2008 S5 row is corroborated by Wilwood's AU 01 application page. The hose chassis bracket must be opened to 0.625-inch diameter as DS-1220 describes. Models covered: A4, S4, RS4 and S5.
