Wilwood Rear Superlite 4R-ST Road-Race Brake Kit for Ford Mustang (2015–2023), 14-Inch GT Rotors

Match a dedicated Mustang race build with four-piston Superlite 4R-ST rear calipers and 14.00 × 0.81-inch GT slotted rotors. Thermlock pistons, BP-35 pads and Type III hard-anodized calipers are specified for competition temperatures. The rotor hats mount to the original rear hubs. The kit belongs to Wilwood Engineering's range of disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California, and produces calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for complete brake-system planning.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14483.
• At each caliper, the Superlite 4R-ST configuration provides 4 pistons in Thermlock, housed in forged aluminum. The caliper attaches by radial mounting and is finished in Type III Anodize.
• Inlet-port specification for hose/fitting selection is 1/8-27 NPT.
• For hydraulic matching, use the published 1.25, 1.25-inch piston bores. Pads are the BP-35 compound.
• This version supplies gt slotted rotors in Iron. Their 14.00 in; 355.6 mm diameter and 0.81 in; 20.57 mm section are matched to the listed vented brake package.
• Rotor hats are individual aluminum components with Type III Anodize protection.
• The mounting interface uses 5 X 4.5 in; 5 X 114.3 mm; verify the nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter of 0.630 in; 16.00 mm separately from the bolt circle.
• Hub compatibility is required for installation. No new wheel hubs are included.
• The listed brackets and fasteners belong to the kit. Spindles and the master-cylinder/booster assembly are outside the package.
• No hydraulic flexlines accompany the kit; supply the correct hoses and fittings for the documented caliper/chassis interface. The separate referenced hose kit is 220-13913, with a 22.00 in published hose length.
• Wheel clearance must be measured using the installation template; the manufacturer lists 18 in; 457.2 mm as the nominal minimum.
• Order quantity refers to one brake conversion kit, not an individual loose rotor or caliper.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the exact 2015–2023 Ford Mustang engine, trim and original brake-package entry listed below. The kit is intended as the rear partner to the corresponding AERO6-ST front race system; confirm the complete brake balance and hydraulic arrangement. Flexible hoses and fittings must be purchased separately, as the installation instructions specify. Check clearance using the wheel diagram; an 18-inch wheel still needs the correct internal shape. These high-temperature race pads will suffer premature pad and rotor wear with extended low-temperature use. Models covered: Mustang. Remove the original rear dust shields as directed in DS-1215 for this conversion.

Use the included high-temperature race pads for circuit conditions; extended low-temperature operation causes premature rotor and pad wear.

Kit may fit some 18" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.
