Wilwood Front AERO6-ST Road-Race Brake Kit, 14-Inch GT Rotors for Mustang & Specified RideTech Hub Spindles

Six-piston AERO6-ST front calipers and 14.00 × 1.25-inch GT rotors make up this dedicated road-racing package. Thermlock pistons and BP-35 race pads address sustained track temperatures, while the Type III hard-anodized calipers mount radially. The rotor hats are selected for the documented hub arrangement. Wilwood Engineering, founded by Bill Wood in 1977, is based in Camarillo, California. The manufacturer supplies disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, including calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines that must work together as a complete system.

• Friction surface and size: gt slotted; 14.00 in; 355.6 mm diameter x 1.25 in; 31.75 mm thickness. The rotor material is Spec-37 Iron in a vented design.
• The calipers are AERO6-ST units with a Type III Anodize exterior. A forged aluminum body locates 6 Thermlock pistons; attachment is radial mount.
• The matched pads use BP-35. Manufacturer bore figures for the caliper are 1.75, 1.38, 1.38 inches.
• The caliper accepts the listed 1/8-27 NPT hydraulic connection.
• 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm is the listed wheel mounting pattern(s) dimension. Nominal hat stud-hole clearance diameter: 0.630 in; 16.00 mm.
• This is a two-piece disc arrangement using aluminum hats in Type III Anodize.
• Existing verified wheel hubs remain in service; replacement hubs are not supplied.
• Wheel minimum: 18 in; 457.2 mm. Confirm the complete wheel shape and mounting hardware clear the brake drawing.
• No spindle, booster or master cylinder is included; the kit does contain mounting hardware for the stated installation.
• Brake lines are a separate purchase. Verify end fittings, safe routing and the length needed for this application. The separate referenced hose kit is 220-13912, with a 14.00 in published hose length.
• This listing supplies one kit for the documented brake configuration.

Fitment & Compatibility

Factory-spindle applications cover the listed 2015–2023 Ford Mustang versions. Earlier Ford and Mercury entries require the specific RideTech hub spindle or RideTech SLA suspension and hub-spindle arrangement shown below; they do not indicate fitment to those cars’ original suspension. Verify the exact application, hub and wheel-clearance drawing. Flexible hoses and fittings are excluded by the installation instructions: order the appropriate set separately and check the chassis connections, particularly on converted vehicles. The catalog 18-inch minimum is only a starting point for clearance checks. Extended low-temperature use of these race pads causes premature pad and rotor wear. Models covered: Falcon, Comet, Mustang and F-100. Use the complete application table at the bottom for the precise year, submodel, brake option and note attached to each row.

DS-1214 requires removal of the original front dust shields during the brake conversion.

Use the included high-temperature race pads for circuit conditions; extended low-temperature operation causes premature rotor and pad wear.

Kit may fit some 18" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.

Separate universal hose choices are 220-7056 (14-inch), 220-7699 (16-inch) or 220-8307 (18-inch). Select the correct length and end fittings; these are alternatives, not three required kits.

If a separate rear parking-brake conversion is also planned, a universal parking cable may need cable or vehicle changes; it is not part of this front kit.
