Wilwood Front Dynapro Drag Brake Kit for Listed Mopar Drum Spindles, Drilled Steel Rotors & Five-Lug Hubs

This Mopar drum-spindle configuration pairs drilled steel front rotors with four-piston Dynapro calipers and five-lug hubs. Bearings, seals, extended studs and mounting hardware are included. The 10.75-inch solid discs and dynamic adapters are specified for a lightweight drag-racing brake package. Wilwood Engineering designs complete disc brake systems as well as calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Established by Bill Wood in 1977 and based in Camarillo, California, it serves motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications; individual parts require a matched system.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14422-D.
• The specified lug caliper is a Dynapro. It combines a Type III Anodize forged aluminum body with 4 pistons per unit; the published piston material is stainless.
• Bores and friction material: 1.75, 1.75 inches, with BP-20 pads supplied for the specified calipers.
• The solid discs have drilled friction surfaces and Steel construction. Nominal dimensions are 0.35 in; 8.89 mm through the braking section and 10.75 in; 273.05 mm at the outside edge.
• Included wheel hubs use aluminum construction and the listed threaded-stud arrangement. They are separate from the friction discs.
• The wheel-stud thread is 1/2-20; the matching wheel mounting pattern(s) are 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm. These describe different aspects of the attachment.
• When planning the line connection, account for the 1/8-27 NPT caliper inlet.
• The supplied hardware mounts the specified brake package. It does not include replacement spindles, a brake booster or a master cylinder.
• The caliper package calls for at least the published 15 in; 381 mm wheel diameter, plus sufficient spoke and inner-barrel clearance.
• Flexlines are excluded from the brake package. Select the chassis-specific hoses and confirm safe clearance throughout travel. Separate reference: 220-8307.
• This is a kit listing; one package contains the brake components described above.

Fitment & Compatibility

Choose only the Dodge or Plymouth drum-brake spindle application and year listed below. The table includes specific B-body and E-body models; it does not establish interchange with factory disc spindles. Follow the vehicle-weight restriction for rear discs or rear drums and provide suitable hydraulic hoses separately. If fitting a replacement master cylinder that uses two mounting bolts to the original four-bolt mounting, a suitable adapter is required; Wilwood does not supply that adapter. The master cylinder itself is not part of this kit. Check the wheel template, stud compatibility and hub position for the completed installation. Models covered: Polara, Belvedere, Fury, Savoy, 330, 440, Coronet, Satellite, Charger, GTX, Coronet Super Bee, Roadrunner, Challenger, Barracuda and Cuda. Use the complete application table at the bottom for the precise year, submodel, brake option and note attached to each row.

Kit may fit some 14" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.

Separate universal hose choices are 220-7056 (14-inch), 220-7699 (16-inch) or 220-8307 (18-inch). Select the correct length and end fittings; these are alternatives, not three required kits.

Master Cylinder will require two bolt to four bolt mounting adapter. Not available for purchase through Wilwood.

If a separate rear parking-brake conversion is also planned, a universal parking cable may need cable or vehicle changes; it is not part of this front kit.

Vehicle weight must not exceed 2, 800 lb with rear disc brakes or 2, 400 lb with rear drum brakes. Wheel contact surfaces must sit fully on the hub: use separately ordered spacer 300-11961 when they overhang the hub face. For stamped-steel wheels that stay within the hub face, Wilwood specifies shield 300-10716. Verify all wheel contact and clearance requirements in the instructions.
