Wilwood Red Low-Profile Dynapro Brake Package, 11-Inch SRP Rear Rotors for Chevy 12-Bolt Staggered-Shock Setups

This Wilwood Dynapro Low-Profile kit is a rear disc and internal parking-brake conversion for Chevy 12-Bolt C-Clip Axles with Staggered Shocks. The 11-inch integral rotor/hat and compact four-piston calipers serve 2.75- or 2.81-inch axle-flange offsets. The kit belongs to Wilwood Engineering's range of disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications. Bill Wood founded the company in 1977; it is based in Camarillo, California, and produces calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for complete brake-system planning.

Technical Details

• Manufacturer part number: 140-14400-DR.
• Caliper bodies are forged aluminum, with Red Powder Coat treatment. This is the lug-mounted Dynapro Low-Profile version, using 4 stainless pistons per caliper.
• Fluid enters through a 1/8-27 NPT caliper port; match the adapter accordingly.
• This configuration uses BP-10 brake pads with caliper bores listed as 1.38, 1.38 inches.
• Across the rotor face the measurement is 11.00 in; 279.4 mm; the braking section is 0.81 in; 20.57 mm thick. Both discs use the specified vented Iron design and srp drilled & slotted finish.
• For this kit the published wheel mounting pattern(s) are 5 x 4.5 in; 5 x 114.3 mm; 5 x 4.75 in; 5 x 120.65 mm; 5 x 5 in; 5 x 127 mm. Check the specified 0.52 in; 13.21 mm listed stud diameter.
• Wheel hubs are separate from this kit and must match the documented existing assembly.
• Rear interface: Chevy 12-bolt C-clip, with a 2.75/2.81-inch axle-flange offset measured between the wheel-side axle flange and wheel-side housing flange. Confirm the housing-bolt pattern and bearing fit.
• Mounting hardware accompanies the brake components; the vehicle's spindle, master cylinder and booster are separate items.
• A suitable separately purchased line set is required, with compatible fittings and routing. Brake hoses are not supplied.
• The stated wheel requirement is 14 in; 355.6 mm. Nominal diameter alone does not establish clearance around the caliper and rotor.
• The components are sold together as one kit for the stated installation.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the 12-bolt C-clip housing flange, 2.75/2.81-inch axle-flange offset and staggered-shock arrangement. The right caliper mounts behind the axle; the left mounts ahead. The vehicle rows reference RideTech front spindles and do not identify the installed rear axle. Measure the actual rear flange and bearing before selecting this kit. Models covered: Chevelle, 442, Beaumont, Camaro and Apollo. Use the complete application table at the bottom for the precise year, submodel, brake option and note attached to each row.

Kit designed for staggered shock mount rear ends: R/H caliper is rear mount, L/H caliper is front mount.

Kit may fit some 14" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.

Separate universal hose choices are 220-7056 (14-inch), 220-7699 (16-inch) or 220-8307 (18-inch). Select the correct length and end fittings; these are alternatives, not three required kits.

The maximum axle-flange diameter is 6.61 inches with the specified 0.050-inch x 45-degree chamfer; verify the 2.80-inch register and supplied centering rings. Some 14-inch wheels may clear, but only after checking the kit drawing. Shock relocation or modification may be necessary. Parking-brake cables, clevises, adapters and cable hardware are separate; universal cable kit 330-9371 may need vehicle-specific changes.
