This Wilwood Powerlite kit is a left-front outboard racing conversion for Dirt Modified Left Front. One four-piston Powerlite caliper works with a scalloped solid rotor in this single-corner package. Bill Wood founded Wilwood Engineering in 1977. Based in Camarillo, California, the company designs and manufactures complete disc brake systems and individual calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance and specialized installations.

Technical Details

  • Manufacturer part number: 140-14342.
  • One scalloped, drilled solid steel rotor is supplied, measuring 11.75 in; 298.45 mm in diameter and 0.35 in; 8.89 mm thick. Its friction surface is the listed drilled design.
  • One Powerlite caliper is supplied, using a forged aluminum body, 4 stainless pistons and radial mounting. Finish: Type III Anodize.
  • Piston sizes listed by Wilwood are 1.25, 1.25 inches, with BP-40 friction material in this kit.
  • Hydraulic fitting interface on each caliper: 1/8-27 NPT.
  • No wheel hub is supplied for this single-corner kit. Retain and verify the existing left-front hub and spindle.
  • Published wheel minimum is 15 in; 381 mm, subject to the required inside-profile check. Rotor diameter is a separate measurement.
  • Application-specific mounting hardware is supplied. Provide or retain the correct spindle, master cylinder and brake booster separately.
  • The package excludes hydraulic hoses. Choose compatible connections and line length for the specific installation.
  • Sold as one single-corner left-front outboard kit, with one rotor and one caliper.

Fitment & Compatibility

Match the standard left-front outboard dirt-modified upright and existing hub to DS-1198. Customer-supplied spindle and hub attachment hardware is required; verify the radial bracket and adapter interfaces before ordering.
