Wilwood Rear Red Four-Piston Superlite Caliper Upgrade, Corvette C5/C6 and XLR with Required Z51 Rear Rotors — Selected 1997–2013 Applications

Red four-piston Superlite calipers replace the rear hydraulic calipers on the qualifying Corvette-type installation. This package does not include rotors: the 13-inch 2005–2009 Z51/J55 rear rotor configuration must already be present or added separately. Bill Wood’s 1977 founding of Wilwood Engineering began a disc brake design and manufacturing business based in Camarillo, California. The range includes master cylinders, calipers, rotors, brake lines, valves and fittings for motorsport, street-performance and specialized vehicles. Component selection must consider the complete braking arrangement.

Fitment & Compatibility

This kit requires customer-supplied 13.00-inch C6 Z51 rear rotors of the specified 2005–2009 J55 configuration; the calipers cannot be selected solely by the vehicle year. Use 220-8177 rear flexlines for C5 or 220-9101 for C6 as applicable, both separately supplied, and confirm the listed XLR installation individually. Front line references do not serve this rear caliper connection. Verify wheel clearance and the existing parking-brake arrangement.
