Wilwood Red Superlite Rear Kit with Drilled Rotors and Internal Parking Brake, GM 12-Bolt C-Clip Housing Ends, 2.75-Inch Offset and Staggered Shocks

Red Superlite 4R calipers clamp drilled-and-slotted 12.88-inch rings in this GM rear conversion. Parking shoes and the aluminum drum hats form the mechanical holding system, while the factory C-clip axle and staggered brackets govern the mechanical fit. Bill Wood established Wilwood Engineering in 1977; the company is based in Camarillo, California. Its disc brake design and manufacturing range covers calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, as well as complete systems. Those products serve motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications, with the individual components selected to match the braking system as a whole.

Fitment & Compatibility

Verify the actual rear flange rather than the Ridetech front-spindle conditions attached to the Chevelle, 442, Beaumont, Camaro and Apollo entries below. The kit needs 2.75-inch axle offset and the documented staggered layout. C-clip eliminators and special housing ends are not compatible.

For staggered shock mounts, the right-hand caliper mounts behind the axle and the left-hand caliper ahead of it. Verify this orientation against the shock and suspension clearance.

Factory OE C-clip retention is required; special housing ends and C-clip eliminators are excluded. Separate flexline options are 220-7056 (14 inches), 220-7699 (16 inches) and 220-8307 (18 inches). A universal parking-cable installation may require cable or vehicle modifications.
