Wilwood Plain-Face Front Brake and Hub Package for Selected Ford/Edsel/Mercury Drum-Spindle Cars, Red Dynalite Four-Piston Calipers

The red-caliper plain-rotor configuration provides an integral-hub front brake conversion for the listed full-size cars. Four-piston Dynalite-M calipers keep the brake package compact while iron rotor/hub castings, bearing parts and the matched brackets provide the required mechanical interfaces. The kit comes from Wilwood Engineering of Camarillo, California, established in 1977 by Bill Wood. Wilwood designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized installations. Alongside calipers and brake rotors, its range includes master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, all requiring selection around the complete system's operating requirements.

Fitment & Compatibility

Compare the installed drum spindle with the full application data below. Suitable 14-inch wheels may clear only after checking the diagram, and the +0.18-inch hub offset must be allowed for on each side. Hoses, master-cylinder selection and brake-bias setup remain separate installation decisions.

Separate front flexline references are 220-8307, 220-7699 and 220-12168; select the length and vehicle-end connection appropriate to the chassis. Listed hub offset is +0.18 inch per side.
