Wilwood Red Six-Piston Front Brake Kit with Drilled 12.19-Inch Rotors for Selected AMC Hornet/Gremlin/Matador/Rebel/Rambler/Ambassador/AMX/Javelin/Javelin AMX, Kelsey-Hayes Layout (1969–1976)

This red-caliper configuration supplies drilled-and-slotted iron rotors, aluminum hubs and the matched front mounting parts. The six-piston Dynapro 6 calipers use stainless pistons and BP-10 pads, with the installed spindle determining whether the conversion can be used. The kit comes from Wilwood Engineering of Camarillo, California, established in 1977 by Bill Wood. Wilwood designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components for motorsport, street-performance and specialized installations. Alongside calipers and brake rotors, its range includes master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines, all requiring selection around the complete system's operating requirements.

Fitment & Compatibility

Compare the 1.25/0.75-inch bearing journals with the larger 1.35/0.87-inch Bendix arrangement, which DS1036 excludes. Use the model, trim and year limits in the application table below. Allow for a separately supplied flexline kit and verify the full wheel envelope.

The separate front flexline reference is 220-8307 (18 inches). Some 15-inch wheels may clear this kit, subject to the installation drawing; the minimum diameter is not a universal wheel-fit claim.
