Wilwood Drilled and Slotted Front Brake Conversion for Selected Mercury Comet/Cyclone/Caliente/Cougar/Montego and Ford Mustang/Falcon/Fairlane/Ranchero/Torino/Maverick, Anodized Dynalite-M Calipers (1963–1970)

Drilled and slotted rotor/hub assemblies distinguish this Dynalite-M front kit from the plain-face version. Its four-piston anodized calipers mount on brackets matched to the specified Ford and Mercury factory spindles, with bearing hardware and flexlines included in the conversion. Based in Camarillo, California, Wilwood Engineering was established by Bill Wood in 1977. It designs and manufactures disc brake systems, calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. That range serves motorsport, street-performance and specialized applications; the individual parts must be matched to the requirements of the complete braking assembly.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the exact year and spindle condition in the table below. Four-hole and three-hole bracket attachments use different supplied fasteners; the 1968–1969 disc spindle needs machining before assembly. Check the bearing seats, wheel pattern and routing of the supplied hoses.

A master-cylinder change can require modification of the existing pushrod assembly. The separate universal parking-cable note applies only if the rear brakes are also being converted; this front kit does not supply a rear parking-brake conversion.

The supplied front hose set is 220-12168. Application references also identify 220-6471 for 1965–1967 and 220-9195 for 1968-up; confirm the installed chassis connection before substituting either reference.

Where a different chassis connection or length is needed, universal flexline references are 220-7056 (14 inches), 220-7699 (16 inches) and 220-8307 (18 inches). These are alternatives to assess, not additional sets included in the kit.
