Wilwood Black Rear SRP Conversion with Dust-Boot Calipers, Big Ford Axle Ends with 2.36-Inch Offset

Drilled-and-slotted rotor faces accompany black four-piston dust-boot calipers in this rear package. The kit's Big Ford bracket and 2.36-inch axle offset locate both the hydraulic caliper and the internal parking-brake assembly. Bill Wood established Wilwood Engineering in 1977. Based in Camarillo, California, the company designs and builds disc brake systems for motorsport, street-performance and specialized uses, including calipers, rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings and brake lines. Each part must match the requirements of the whole braking arrangement.

Fitment & Compatibility

Confirm the actual actual rear axle flange, centering register and wheel-stud arrangement. Use DS1000 to check flange clearance and obtain matching hoses and parking-brake cables separately. The application table includes a 1990 Lincoln Town Car row, but Wilwood identifies this kit by axle flange and offset. Stock Town Car axle compatibility is not established; confirm the actual or custom axle measurements before purchase.

In addition to the bracket pattern and measured offset, inspect the axle flange profile. Its outside diameter may not exceed 6.61 inches and it requires the documented 0.050-inch x 45-degree chamfer. The instructions show a 2.80-inch axle register with the applicable centering provision.

Inspect shock-to-brake clearance as well as the axle dimensions; the installation instructions note that some shock arrangements may need modification or relocation.

Hydraulic hoses/fittings and parking-brake cables, adapters and cable hardware are not included. Choose a compatible cable arrangement for the internal parking brake; universal cable systems may require vehicle or cable modifications.

Kit may fit some 15" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.
