Wilwood Red Front AERO6 Brake Package for Corvette C5/C6, XLR and Specified Hub Spindles, 14-Inch C/SiC Rotors

This red front brake package uses the existing compatible hub with separate dynamic-mount hats and plain carbon-ceramic rotors. Six stainless pistons per AERO6 caliper and the specified pad compound identify the hydraulic and friction arrangement. Disc brake system design and manufacturing are Wilwood Engineering’s focus. Bill Wood founded the Camarillo, California company in 1977; its range spans brake rotors, master cylinders, calipers, fittings, valves and brake lines for motorsport, specialized and street-performance applications. The choice of individual components depends on the complete brake system.

Fitment & Compatibility

Use the exact factory-hub or aftermarket-spindle application, including its trim restrictions. DS989 requires clearance for the hat inset and caliper envelope; wheel diameter alone cannot confirm a usable 18-inch wheel.

The older-car entries specify Ridetech hub spindles. Corvette rows distinguish C5/Z 06, C6 Base, Z 06, ZR1, Grand Sport, Z 06 Carbon and 427; retain the exact row-specific years. Cadillac XLR is listed for 2004–2009.

Flexible brake lines are not included. Original lines are not assumed to connect to the Wilwood calipers; select the application-specific or correctly sized universal hose and matching fittings.

Wheel mounting pad must not be larger than 6.00" to fit into inset area of this hat.

Kit may fit some 18" wheels. Check wheel clearance diagram in kit installation instructions before purchase.

Universal Flexline kits available: 220-7056 (14"), 220-7699 (16") or 220-8307 (18"). Choose correct length for your application.

An independently added universal parking-brake cable system may require cable or vehicle modifications. It is separate from this front service-brake kit.
