On the specified early Ford/Mercury front spindle, this package places a plain iron friction ring around a separate aluminum replacement hub. The supplied red Dynapro calipers have six stainless pistons, with 1.62- and 1.38-inch bore dimensions, and operate with BP-10 pads. Each ring measures 12.19 inches outside diameter and 0.81 inch across its friction width. The brackets and bearing hardware must correspond to the original spindle arrangement identified for the vehicle. Check full seating before assembly. For stamped steel wheels without overhang, Wilwood recommends a separate 6.15-inch-diameter × 0.09-inch-thick hub shield.

Fitment & Compatibility

Begin by identifying spindle construction and bearing seats, including the V8-only requirement on the early Falcon, Ranchero and Comet rows. The relevant 1970 Mustang drum application uses the production boundary through August 24, 1969; its disc rows have separate Shelby conditions. DS964 sets out the bracket holes and machining for the different original arrangements. Inspect hub support at the entire wheel contact face, then assess tire position with the 0.09-inch outward change included. The wheel template checks caliper space independently. Choose and route hoses for the actual chassis, and verify the hydraulic setup against the rear brakes.
