Wilwood Drilled Front Hub Conversion, Falcon/Ranchero/Comet/Fairlane/Cyclone/Mustang/Caliente/Cougar/Torino/Montego/Maverick (1963–1970), Black Calipers

This front axle conversion supplies black Dynapro calipers and drilled/slotted 12.19-inch rotors on separate aluminum hubs for the specified early Ford/Mercury spindle arrangements. Six pistons, BP-10 pads and kit-specific bracket hardware make up the selected braking package. The replacement hubs list 5 x 4.50- and 5 x 4.75-inch bolt circles, so the installed stud pattern and chosen wheels must agree before assembly. • Disc-spindle preparation may require drilling and re-tapping the bracket-mounting holes. Follow the exact three-hole versus four-hole bracket arrangement and machining procedure for the specified spindle in the installation document.
• Conditional wheel support: if the wheel contact face overhangs the new hub, the separately sold 6.60-inch-diameter × 0.20-inch-thick steel support spacer specified in the linked installation instructions is required. Check full seating before assembly. For stamped steel wheels without overhang, Wilwood recommends a separate 6.15-inch-diameter × 0.09-inch-thick hub shield.

Fitment & Compatibility

Identify the actual spindle and its bearing journals before using the model-year list. DS964 separates the bracket-hole arrangements, including the three-hole 1968–1969 disc-spindle configuration, and details the machining that applies. Early V8-only entries and the drum-brake production boundary still need individual confirmation. Inspect complete wheel-face seating on the hub and account for the outward offset change. Check the rim against the entire caliper envelope, choose hydraulic lines separately and confirm the completed system suits the rear brake arrangement.
