Wilwood Drilled Front Hub Kit, Bel Air/Biscayne/Caprice/Impala/Brookwood/Corvette/Kingswood/Townsman/Estate (1968–1982), Black Calipers

This Wilwood Chevrolet front conversion combines drilled/slotted 12.19-inch rotors with black Dynapro 6 calipers and replacement hubs. The six-piston assembly uses a 1.10-inch rotor width and the kit-specific mounting components for the compatible factory spindle. Full-size Chevrolet and C3 Corvette applications carry different year and original brake conditions, which must be considered before choosing the package. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance, and specialized applications.

• Conditional wheel support: if the wheel contact face overhangs the new hub, the separately sold 6.60-inch-diameter × 0.20-inch-thick steel support spacer specified in the linked installation instructions is required. Check full seating before assembly. For stamped steel wheels without overhang, Wilwood recommends a separate 6.15-inch-diameter × 0.09-inch-thick hub shield.

Fitment & Compatibility

Confirm whether the individual row specifies a drum or disc spindle and observe any power-disc exclusion. Inspect the bearing seats and follow the hub adjustment and caliper-shimming procedure. The conversion shifts the wheel mounting surface outward 0.28 inch on each side; include that change when checking tire position. Compare the wheel interior with the full template. Separate hoses must have suitable fittings and travel, with pedal movement and front/rear hydraulic balance checked afterward.
