Wilwood Plain 12.19-Inch Front Brake/Hub Package, Red Calipers, Fairlane/Falcon/Maverick/Mustang/Ranchero/Torino/Cougar/Cyclone/Montego/Comet (1970–1974)

Separate aluminum hubs carry plain iron rotor rings in this red-caliper front conversion for the listed later Ford and Mercury spindles. The 12.19-inch rings have a 0.81-inch friction width and work with six-piston Dynapro bodies, stainless pistons and BP-10 pads. Brackets and bearing hardware accompany the package, but the original spindle and the rest of the hydraulic system must still match the vehicle-specific requirements. • Conditional wheel support: if the wheel contact face overhangs the new hub, the separately sold 6.60-inch-diameter × 0.20-inch-thick steel support spacer specified in the linked installation instructions is required. Check full seating before assembly. For stamped steel wheels without overhang, Wilwood recommends a separate 6.15-inch-diameter × 0.09-inch-thick hub shield.

Fitment & Compatibility

Establish whether the car has the relevant factory drum spindle or the supported disc version. DS962 uses different bracket holes and fasteners for those configurations, with disc-spindle drilling and re-tapping specified where applicable. Check the exact build date and the Mustang Shelby exclusions in the vehicle list. The supplied hubs move the wheel outward by 0.09 inch per side; check tire position and complete hub-face support before evaluating the rim against the clearance drawing. Obtain suitable flex lines separately and verify pedal travel after balancing the whole system.
