Product details
This Wilwood front kit pairs red four-piston Dynalite calipers with 11.75-inch drilled/slotted vented rotors and replacement hubs. It is configured for the specific Cadillac drum-spindle models and years listed in the application table. The selected caliper, rotor and bracket arrangement converts the front brakes while retaining the appropriate original spindle rather than supplying a new axle or spindle package. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance, and specialized applications.

- Wheel-contact support requirement: if the wheel contact surface overhangs the hub face, use the specified 6.60-inch-diameter × 0.20-inch-thick steel spacer between hub and wheel. The spacer is supplied with this kit.
- The wheel-clearance drawing includes the supplied wheel spacer installed; account for its thickness and stud engagement in the completed wheel arrangement.
- For stamped steel wheels whose contact area does not overhang the hub, Wilwood recommends the separate 6.15-inch-diameter × 0.09-inch-thick hub shield to protect the hub face; this is distinct from the required overhang-support spacer.
Fitment & Compatibility
Eldorado and DeVille coverage is 1953–1955, while Series 60 Fleetwood is listed for 1950–1955; check other Cadillac series against their own row instead of extending those dates. DS941 defines the spindle, bearings and bracket arrangement for this red-caliper SRP conversion. Replacement hubs alter wheel position outward 0.35 inches on each side, requiring a tire/fender check as well as the brake-envelope assessment. Use the supplied wheel-support spacer where the mounting contact area overhangs the hub and preserve the spacer dimension shown in the clearance drawing. Hoses are selected separately. Verify secure hose movement through steering lock, suitable master-cylinder displacement and pedal travel, then establish brake balance with the retained rear system.
Match the individual model, year, submodel and brake configuration in the fitment table below.
