Product details
Black Dynalite calipers and drilled/slotted 11.75-inch rotor rings form this Wilwood front conversion for the specified Cadillac drum-spindle applications. Replacement hubs, bearings and brackets locate the four-piston brakes. Check the exact Series, Fleetwood, Commercial Chassis, DeVille or Eldorado entry rather than treating the overall 1941–1955 period as one universal front spindle arrangement. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance, and specialized applications.

- Conditional wheel screening size: 15 inches. Use the installation clearance diagram to verify the actual barrel and spoke profile.
- Wheel-contact support requirement: if the wheel contact surface overhangs the hub face, use the specified 6.60-inch-diameter × 0.20-inch-thick steel spacer between hub and wheel. The spacer is supplied with this kit.
- The wheel-clearance drawing includes the supplied wheel spacer installed; account for its thickness and stud engagement in the completed wheel arrangement.
- For stamped steel wheels whose contact area does not overhang the hub, Wilwood recommends the separate 6.15-inch-diameter × 0.09-inch-thick hub shield to protect the hub face; this is distinct from the required overhang-support spacer.
Fitment & Compatibility
Match the specific Cadillac body and series: Commercial Chassis is listed for 1946–1955, Series 60 Special Fleetwood for 1946–1949, and Series 75 Fleetwood for 1946–1955. Other Series and named models have different ranges in the table. Compare the installed spindle with DS941 before selecting the black SRP conversion. Its replacement hub moves the mounting face outward 0.35 inches per side and uses the specified five-on-five-inch wheel pattern. Verify bearing adjustment and complete wheel-face seating, with the supplied support spacer used under the stated overhang condition. Check the wheel diagram with that spacer installed. Choose hydraulic hoses separately and review the existing pedal/master-cylinder arrangement with the rear brakes before commissioning.
Match the individual model, year, submodel and brake configuration in the fitment table below.
