Wilwood Slotted 14-Inch Front Conversion with Red Calipers, Ford/Mercury Ranchero/Comet/Falcon/Torino/Montego/Cougar/Fairlane/Cyclone/Caliente/Mustang (1963–1969), Replacement Hubs

This Wilwood front hub package uses red Superlite 6R calipers with 14-inch GT slotted rotors for the stated Ford and Mercury V8-spindle installations. Separate hats carry the 72-vane iron rings, with BP-10 pads supplied. Spindle selection follows the individual model/year and original brake configuration rather than a general assumption that all early V8 suspension hardware is identical. Fitment & Compatibility

Compare the actual spindle with DS929, including its 1965–1967 disc/drum and 1968–1969 drum-only Mustang restrictions. Confirm the selected hub lug pattern and the 0.25-inch outward wheel-position change. The larger brake assembly requires the complete 18-inch wheel-envelope check, including spokes. Choose hydraulic hoses separately and verify master-cylinder mounting, pushrod arrangement and front/rear hydraulic balance for the completed installation.
