Plain 12.19-inch rotor faces and red four-piston Dynalite calipers distinguish this Wilwood front hub conversion. It replaces the original brake assembly on the specified early Chevrolet spindles, using matched hubs, brackets and BP-10 pads. Compare the individual full-size-car or early Corvette fitment rather than treating every Chevrolet spindle within the period as identical. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. • For stamped steel wheels whose contact area does not overhang the hub, Wilwood recommends the separate 6.15-inch-diameter × 0.09-inch-thick hub shield to protect the hub face; this is distinct from the required overhang-support spacer.

Fitment & Compatibility

Check spindle and bearing dimensions using DS897, then verify wheel seating on the selected hub pattern. The wheel mounting surface moves outward 0.27 inches per side, which should be assessed with the vehicle's tire width and backspacing. Confirm barrel and spoke clearance before choosing hydraulic hoses. The master cylinder, pedal arrangement and rear brakes require a complete system assessment when converting from the original brakes.
