Wilwood Black Dynalite Front Brakes with 12.19-Inch SRP Rings, Chevrolet El Camino/Impala/Corvette/Bel Air/Biscayne/Sedan Delivery/Brookwood/Nomad/Parkwood/Kingswood (1959–1964)

Black four-piston calipers and 12.19-inch drilled/slotted rotors make up this Wilwood front hub conversion. It is configured for the listed early Chevrolet drum spindles and early Corvette arrangement, with replacement hubs and mounting brackets included. The 0.81-inch rotor thickness and selected SRP face pattern form a matched package with the supplied BP-10 pads. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. • Wheel-contact support requirement: if the wheel contact surface overhangs the hub face, use the specified 6.60-inch-diameter × 0.20-inch-thick steel spacer between hub and wheel. The spacer is sold separately.
• For stamped steel wheels whose contact area does not overhang the hub, Wilwood recommends the separate 6.15-inch-diameter × 0.09-inch-thick hub shield to protect the hub face; this is distinct from the required overhang-support spacer.

Fitment & Compatibility

The specific early Corvette installation is 1963–1964, not all C2/C3 front brakes. Full-size Chevrolet applications have their own 1959–1964 or shorter ranges: identify the actual car, spindle and bearings before comparing DS897. This black SRP package pairs four 1.75-inch pistons in each Dynalite caliper with 0.81-inch-thick rotor rings and BP-10 pads. The 12.19-inch diameter screens for 15-inch wheels, but the mounting face must sit fully on the hub and the spokes must clear the assembled caliper. Account for the 0.27-inch outward wheel shift and any required support spacer before assessing tire position. Hydraulic hoses are separate and must remain free at full lock, with the existing master-cylinder/pedal layout and rear brakes evaluated for the completed conversion.
