Wilwood pairs red four-piston calipers with 11-inch drilled/slotted rotors in this front hub conversion for the specified Chevrolet cars. Replacement hubs locate the vented rings on the matching original spindle. The package is selected by model, production year and spindle configuration, including the particular 1963–1964 Corvette entries rather than all Corvette brake systems. • Wheel-contact support requirement: if the wheel contact surface overhangs the hub face, use the specified 6.60-inch-diameter × 0.20-inch-thick steel spacer between hub and wheel. The spacer is supplied with this kit.
• For stamped steel wheels whose contact area does not overhang the hub, Wilwood recommends the separate 6.15-inch-diameter × 0.09-inch-thick hub shield to protect the hub face; this is distinct from the required overhang-support spacer.

Fitment & Compatibility

Confirm mounting and bearing dimensions using DS896. The new hub position adds 0.27 inches per side, so check tire/fender space with the actual wheel offset. Both the barrel and spokes must clear the assembled caliper. Choose suitable hydraulic hoses separately and review master-cylinder displacement and front/rear balance; the kit provides the brake hardware rather than every component of a drum-to-disc hydraulic conversion.
