Wilwood Black Dynalite Front Brake Conversion for Chevrolet Bel Air/Biscayne/Impala/Corvette/Brookwood/El Camino/Kingswood/Nomad/Parkwood/Sedan Delivery (1959–1964), 11-Inch Plain Rotors

This Wilwood front package converts the listed early Chevrolet drum-spindle cars and 1963–1964 Corvette configurations to black four-piston Dynalite brakes. Plain 11-inch vented rotors and replacement hubs form the compact rotor assembly. The spindle and bearing arrangement must match the application rather than being assumed from the Chevrolet name or a later brake conversion. • For stamped steel wheels whose contact area does not overhang the hub, Wilwood recommends the separate 6.15-inch-diameter × 0.09-inch-thick hub shield to protect the hub face; this is distinct from the required overhang-support spacer.

Fitment & Compatibility

Compare the exact model and year with DS896 and the application table. The supplied hubs move the wheel mounting face outward 0.27 inches per side, affecting tire position and available fender clearance. Confirm the correct five-lug pattern and wheel contact. Check the actual wheel against the caliper diagram; hydraulic hoses are selected separately and the master cylinder must suit the disc-brake conversion.
