Wilwood Red 14-Inch Rear Disc & Parking Brakes, Strange Floater, SRP

Red radial calipers and 14-inch drilled/slotted Spec-37 rings distinguish this Wilwood rear package for a Strange Engineering floater. Four-piston Superlite service calipers operate independently of the internal mechanical parking shoes. The 3.49-inch axle offset and floater-specific hardware are central to selection; no vehicle-model fit should be assumed from the axle manufacturer alone. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. Fitment & Compatibility

The Strange floater must be measured at its actual mounting flange: record upper and lower horizontal hole spacing, vertical spacing, center register and wheel-side axle offset. Compare these measurements with DS895 before any disassembly. The 14-inch rotor uses a separate aluminum hat and 72-curved-vane friction ring; confirm the hat interface and caliper centerline on the installed floater. Wheel clearance is needed around both the radial caliper and the rotor assembly, with 18 inches only a screening size. The internal shoes need separately selected cables, clevises and adapters. Keep mechanical cables clear of the moving suspension and plan the hydraulic hoses independently, then verify front/rear balance for the completed chassis.
