Wilwood Black Superlite Front Brake Conversion, GT 12.88-Inch Rotors, Chevrolet Del Ray/Bel Air/Two-Ten Series/One-Fifty Series/Sedan Delivery/Nomad (1955–1957), Drop Spindle

Wilwood's 12.88-inch front package combines black Superlite 6R calipers, GT slotted rotor rings and replacement hubs for the listed Tri-Five Chevrolet drop-spindle applications. Each six-piston caliper mounts radially to its bracket. The kit is a conversion for the specified aftermarket spindle, not a direct replacement for factory 1955–1957 Chevrolet brake hardware. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines for motorsport, street-performance, and specialized applications.

Fitment & Compatibility

Read the drop-spindle option for the exact model and compare the physical spindle with DS876. Original Chevrolet spindles are excluded. The kit's 17-inch wheel screening size must be followed by a full barrel and spoke check. Match the selected five-lug pattern, confirm bearing adjustment and plan hydraulic hoses separately. Review master-cylinder displacement and rear brake configuration before the converted system is commissioned.
