This red Wilwood later-GM front package combines six-piston calipers with GT slotted 12.88-inch one-piece rotors and replacement hubs. BP-10 pads, bearings and application brackets are included. The system is designed around the specified disc spindle after the required preparation, rather than around every front suspension used across the model-year span. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines. Its product range serves motorsport, street-performance, and specialized applications, with individual components selected to match the requirements of the complete brake system.

Fitment & Compatibility

Compare the later GM disc spindle directly with the mounting arrangement in DS871, then check the individual model year and original-brake option. Spindle drilling/tapping and removal of the old caliper ears must be completed correctly before attaching the new bracket. Inspect the exposed bearing journals and assemble the hub with the specified adjustment. The wheel's mounting circle, contact support and outward position all need to suit the chassis; caliper clearance is a separate measurement. Choose suitable hydraulic lines for the actual body fittings and provide enough freedom through steering lock. Test the complete conditional 17-inch section behind the wheel spokes, then check runout, caliper centering and pad bedding as part of the conversion.
