Wilwood Front Red Superlite/SRP Brake Package, GM Disc-Spindle Cars 1970–1978, 12.88-Inch Rotors and Replacement Hubs

Red Superlite 6R calipers and drilled/slotted 12.88-inch rotors form this Wilwood front GM conversion. Replacement hubs, bearings and BP-10 pads are supplied. The mounting system is specific to the documented disc spindle and requires preparation of the original upright before the brackets can be installed correctly. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines. Fitment & Compatibility

Check the exact GM model/year and any OE 11-inch rotor-spindle restriction. DS870 details drilling and tapping two holes plus trimming interfering original caliper ears; plan machine-shop work in advance. The new hubs move the wheel mounting position by the published amount, so verify offset and fender room. Hydraulic hoses are additional. Compare the complete wheel profile to the conditional 17-inch clearance drawing and inspect the retained spindle journals before assembly and brake testing.
