Wilwood Front Superlite Brake Kit for GM Disc-Spindle Applications (1970–1978), Black Calipers, 12.88-Inch GT Rotors and Hubs

This black Wilwood Challenge Series front conversion combines six-piston Superlite calipers, GT slotted rotors and replacement hubs for the specified GM disc spindles. The 12.88-inch one-piece rings run with supplied BP-10 pads. The package requires spindle preparation and must be selected by the actual original rotor/spindle configuration. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines. Fitment & Compatibility

Identify the disc spindle and its original rotor configuration from the individual GM application row. The mounting is tied to that hardware, so a transferred front suspension must be checked by the donor spindle details. DS870 calls for drilling and tapping two mounting holes and removing the original caliper ears that interfere. Arrange this work with a qualified machinist before dismantling the old brakes. Inspect the bearing journals while the spindle is exposed, then compare the new hub bolt circle and outward mounting change with the chosen wheels. Brake hoses are separate, with routing checked at full steering lock and suspension travel. The conditional 17-inch clearance section must fit behind the spokes; rotor diameter alone cannot establish wheel fit.
