Wilwood Front Red Dynalite/SRP Conversion, Chevrolet Kingswood/Townsman/Estate/Brookwood/Impala/Caprice/Corvette/Biscayne/Bel Air (1968–1982)

This red Wilwood Chevrolet front package includes four-piston Dynalite calipers and 12.19-inch drilled/slotted rotors. Separate hubs, bearings and brackets replace the original rotor/hub layout on the correct spindle, with BP-10 pads supplied. It is the SRP configuration for the individual full-size passenger-car and Corvette applications listed below. Wilwood Engineering was founded by Bill Wood in 1977 and is based in Camarillo, California. The company designs and manufactures disc brake systems and components, including calipers, brake rotors, master cylinders, valves, fittings, and brake lines. Its product range serves motorsport, street-performance, and specialized applications, with individual components selected to match the requirements of the complete brake system.

• Hydraulic flex lines are separate. Master cylinder, booster and spindles are not included; retain or select suitable matching components.
• Conditional minimum wheel diameter: 15 inches. Verify the complete clearance drawing for barrel and spoke offset before purchase.
• Wheel seating: the specified support spacer is required when the wheel contact face overhangs the hub. The support spacer is sold separately for this kit. For stamped steel wheels without overhang, use the specified hub shield, obtained separately.

Fitment & Compatibility

Start with the fitted front upright and determine which Chevrolet disc or drum configuration it belongs to. Each model has a limited year range in the table, so do not apply the overall span to every car. DS833 sets the bracket and hub installation. Check the mounting-face support of the chosen wheel: an overhanging contact face needs the specified spacer, sold separately for this kit, while a non-overhanging stamped steel wheel needs the specified hub shield. The outward wheel shift can alter fender space even if the brake clears the spokes. Select the hoses independently and test their route through steering movement. Confirm the conditional 15-inch wheel envelope around the complete red caliper, then set rotor position and caliper shims before bleeding.
